Open workshop and guided tours In keeping with the annual theme of "Animally good!", the Reusspark is launching an artistically bold idea using driftwood. A total of seven tons of driftwood were collected and used as building material. Four artists created two large animal sculptures over the course of around five days. To create the two sculptures, the artists welded a supporting substructure together on site. Similar to the skeleton of the animals themselves, a supporting steel shell is first created, onto which the collected driftwood pieces are mounted and screwed together. The result is a pike around 5 m long and a horse almost 3 m high. Both sculptures will then be placed on the Reusspark site and will decorate the park for years to come. Visitors can take part in the creation process. The open-air workshop is located at the Rose Pavilion directly on the Reuss, where the driftwood itself comes from.
